My seeking of a Special Education credential and Masters degree in Education at Azusa Pacific University represents my obedience to God according to His calling for my life.
I believe God has equipped me with the educational background to develop software for special needs students. In addition, I would like to create software to help teachers learn to teach special ed students. I believe that this is my calling. At Stanford University, I studied Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Computer Interface Design. HCI explores the reasons and theories surrounding human interaction with computers, while Computer Interface Design focuses on the engineering and testing of computer interfaces which humans use. Technology that truly helps special ed students can only be developed with an understanding of the needs of special ed students. Azusa Pacific University’s credential and degree program has been the perfect fit, because I can learn about special education while learning how to use technology effectively in teaching.
